Projects of Japan Down syndrome Society (JDS)
JDS has three main pillars:
- Consultations
- Publications
- Awareness-raising
Consultations
JDS-commissioned local area coordinators, who are mainly mothers of kids with DS, assist people with DS or their families, schools, or supporters. All coodinators are required annual specialized training to improve their consulting skills.
For parents who are worried about child-raising and wish to consult on the growth and development of their children with DS, consultants meet on a regular basis.
Publications
JDS publications can be obtained through JDS office. Please contact us for details.

- Community support

- Seminars and conferences promotion
